Spike was surrendered to The French Bulldog Village because he was too strong for his 80+ year old parents to handle. He was immediately taken to the vet & diagnosed with a very severe heart murmur. When seen by a cardiologist, he was further diagnosed with Vulvar Pulmonic Stenosis which required surgery. Thankfully it was a success & the generous donation from Fund-A-Bull Bulldogs in Rescue was a huge help towards the high cost of his surgery. After being with the rescue for ten months, he was so attached to his foster mom & his fur siblings that his adoption did not go well & the decision was made to allow him to stay where he was most comfortable. His heart condition will have to be monitored throughout his lifetime but he is very happy in his new forever home!
